Windows FMLE Transcoding for WebRTC playback

From previous threads, it does not appear to be an option to broadcast with FMLE VP6 video and have that transcoded to a format that is supported with WebRTC playback. Can you confirm this is still the case?

Regarding audio, FMLE on Windows (without the additional AAC encoder) only supports MP3 audio formats. Is it possible to broadcast MP3 audio (w/ H.264 video), then have that transcoded on the server-side to a format that is consumable by WebRTC playback clients?

VP6 and MP3 codecs are not supported on WCS end. So these codecs won't be transcoded.
WCS supports RTMP with H.264+AAC codecs only (G.711 or Speex audio codecs).
As an alternative for FMLE on Windows, you can use:
  • OBS (Open Broadcasting Software)
  • Wirecast
