Showing Low Quality in Chrome

Thanks.
We were able to test with your system.
Please checkout our screenshots below.

First of all, your camera has no movement. So it is normal behavior if you see low bitrate on a static picture (about 10 kbps).
Since we didn't have a chance to test real USB camera, we have installed Manycam (manycam dot com). You can uninstall if needed.

First Test
1. We have turned off hardware acceleration in Google Chrome.
2. Using Manycam, we selected Manycam Virual Camera in Google Chrome and fetched a YouTube channel.
3. We tested Media Devices example publishing with 1280p stream.
As you can see from screenshots, bitrate is about 2.5 Mbps and stable.

Second test
We have enabled hardware acceleration back and tested apprtc (without WCS server)
https://appr.tc/r/4695136141?vrc=H264
1. Open first window in Chrome browser.
2. Open second window in Chrome browser as incognito window.
As you can see, quality is still poor regardless server usage.
Please checkout attached screenshots.
Therefore we can see the same behavior as on our Windows system.
1) It works well when hardware acceleration disabled.
2) It works with poor quality and with a low bitrate when hardware acceleration enabled.

Hello
Thanks for your testing i want to let you know that our USB web cam was working fine in past with videobit rate upto 3MB but recent we noticed its not working fine.
We have already provided the following options:
  • Downgrade to Chrome 58
  • Disable hardware acceleration
  • Use another browser like Firefox
  • Switch to VP8 video codec
  • Wait another Chrome version where this behavior will be probably fixed
Our website launch is just late due to that issue it will be very great if you schedule a meeting with us so that we can communicate and fix it ASAP.
